VW launches GTI 35 Edition – It’s smoking!

Today mark’s the official launch of the VW GTI Edition 35.  What a stroke of utter beauty.  New wheels, new kit, new paint and more power!  Up from 155kW, the tweaked 2.0 Turbo FSi motor pushes out a whopping 173Kw’s and a bunch of torque coming in at 300nM, 20 more than the standard GTi.  Sporting a 0-100km/h time of 6.6s (0.3s faster than GTi) this little guy will get you there quickly.

The VW Golf GTi Edition 35 isn't available in South Africa in 3-Door guise, but the 5-door is still bang for your back! Note new bumper design, LED Bi-Xenon headlights, black mirrors and new alloy wheel design.

The price?  Well, not too bad I dont think.  R370k for the 6-Speed manual, and R385k for the DSG option.  It’s about R30k more than the standard GTi, but with a whole lot more fun added to the package.  On top of which you get a new bumper design, fancy bi-xenon cornering headlights, black mirrors and seriously hot 18″ alloy wheels.
