Stop the Jerk in you!
This is going to be a pretty short post but one that I just have to make.
Are you a jerk? And no, I don’t mean the idiot guy at the bar trying to make eyes at you but instead is only achieving the obligatory crosseyed drunk look. What I am referring to is that final moment, in your car, when you brake and come to a complete stop. You know, that moment when you stop and you cause massive whiplash to yourself and your passengers?
Well, there is a really simple technique to use instead of making yourself look like an idiot.
This is how you brake and come to a smooth stop:
Begin by applying the brake to slow down. At the very moment where you come to a stop, release the brake just a little. Don’t release too much to avoid going sprawling into the innocent old man in front of you, but enough just to stop that horrendous, idiot-looking-jerk-motion at the end.
Using this simple technique will not only save brake wear but will also save you some public embarassment.
